A sustainable staple, our Crying Tiger Print Small Silk Scarf would be the perfect colourful addition to your next look and features exclusive artwork by collaborator and artist Melissa Kitty Jarram. We also offer a larger version – Crying Tiger Print Large Silk Scarf.
This small silk scarf is from our All Our Stories SS22 collection, inspired by our continued work with East London grassroots organisation, The Magpie Project – a charity that supports women and children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Artist Melissa Kitty Jarram ran storytelling workshops with the families at Magpie Project, and illustrated the magical narratives they shared. She then used waste book covers in her illustrations to tell a new story via a series of artworks for the SS22 collection, including the print seen on this scarf. The artworks were inspired by the folklore passed from generation to generation and childhood stories that continue to inform us in our adult lives.
What is peace silk? Peace silk is created using a process that uses non-harmful techniques, allowing the completion of the metamorphosis of the silkworm to the butterfly, so that no animal has to suffer or die for fashion.
