100% vegan and the perfect medium sized handbag for your everyday, the Novel Woven Book Bag is a part of a series of bags made in England by London based bag maker Stevan Saville

Inspired by childhood memories of school book bags, the design was originally created as part of our SS21 collection, carried over to SS22. Made in England, the Book Bags offer a consciously created luxury item to add to your wardrobe – using sustainably sourced materials and made by craftsmen. Lined in vegan suede, the bag comes with a Bethany Williams nameplate.

Utilising book cover waste of Children's classics, the fabric that wraps each bag is woven by San Patrignano using book waste from the British publishing industry. Due to the nature of the woven fabric, each bag is completely unique and multicoloured by nature, featuring individual colour combinations.

Looking for a new medium sized handbag? Our Novel Woven Book Bag can fit an Ipad tablet – ideal for your everyday outings, or an adventure!

All Our Children, our SS21 collection celebrates the ethos of The Magpie Project, an organisation we have been volunteering for and collaborating with since 2019.  Newham-based Magpie Project works with children and mothers who are homeless or at risk of homelessness – 80% of whom have no recourse to public funds (NRPF). Jane Williams set up the Magpie Project to insist that – no matter what – every child has the right to support: they are all our children.

Did you know? We offer our Woven Book Bag in 2 other sizes – Small Dictionary and Mini Notepad

As with every Bethany Williams collection – 20% of the proceeds from our SS21 collection will go to the charity we collaborated with, The Magpie Project.
