Bethany Williams: Alternative Systems, is a celebration of the new way of working proposed for the fashion industry by our studio’s work.
The exhibition, curated by Head of Curatorial at the Design Museum, Priya Khanchandani, is open to the public from 22 February 2022 to 4 September 2022. This dedicated free display explores the way in which Bethany Williams’ work confronts social and environmental issues through community collaboration and a spirit of reuse.
From garments made from recycled book waste to collaborations with community projects, the exhibition profiles our practice that seeks to avoid the usual contradictions of fashion. The exhibition spotlights how we at Bethany Williams tackle social and environmental issues, and whilst also displaying the collaboration Bethany was a part of, as part of the Emergency Designer Network to create PPE during the pandemic.
