Bethany Williams: Alternative Systems, is a celebration of the new way of working proposed for the fashion industry by our studio’s work. 

The exhibition, curated by Head of Curatorial at the Design Museum, Priya Khanchandani, is open to the public from 22 February 2022 to 4 September 2022. This dedicated free display explores the way in which Bethany Williams’ work confronts social and environmental issues through community collaboration and a spirit of reuse. 

To bring sunshine to London during the summer 2021, Selfridges commissioned a large-scale patchwork artwork to be displayed in the famous windows of the Selfridges, Oxford Street store. Depicting sunshine the 2.2M circular patchwork artwork was created by the Bethany Williams team in London using deadstock and second-hand garments to create a visual inspired by artworks created for the All Our Stories collection by artist Melissa Kitty Jarram.
